Ancient Heritage, Rebuilt Today
OUR MISSION
OUR STORY
Since 2020
From a University Lab to Classic Fine Art
It all began with the shared vision of an Ancient History PhD student and a mechanical engineer in a modest studio in Turkey.
During a visit to his engineer friend’s university laboratory, Umut Arslan—an academic researcher specializing in antiquity—was introduced to industrial 3D printers. While the machines were originally set up to produce mechanical components, Umut immediately saw a different potential. Looking at the precise technology, he asked a simple question: “Could these print ancient sculptures?”
Three hours later, a detailed mini-statue of Emperor Marcus Aurelius emerged from the build plate.
Inspired by that first print, Umut acquired his own 3D printer and began experimenting with high-resolution production techniques to capture the exact forms, textures, and geometry of historic artifacts. What started as a personal passion project to fund his doctoral studies quickly gained international attention. He photographed his initial collection, listed them online, and shipped his very first replica abroad.
Today, 3DorisArt bridges academic historical accuracy with modern resin precision—delivering museum-quality classical sculptures, mythological icons, and architectural reliefs directly to collectors and history enthusiasts worldwide.
