Ludovisi Ares Mars Statue with Cupid Eros | Classical Art |
🔹Handmade replica of the Ludovisi Ares, an Antonine Roman marble sculpture of Mars, the Roman god of war. This fine 2nd-century copy of a 4th-century BC Greek original, associated with Scopas or Lysippus, showcases Ares as young and beardless, seated on a trophy of arms with Eros playing at his feet, symbolizing love in a moment of repose.
Rediscovered in 1622, the sculpture became a sensational find, celebrated for its beauty by 18th-century connoisseurs. It was lightly restored by the young Bernini, who added the cupid. The Ludovisi Ares now resides in the National Museum of the Terme, Palazzo Altemps, Rome. This replica captures the timeless elegance and historical significance of the original.

🌟Post-3D Printing Process🌟
To ensure a smooth and flawless finish, each piece undergoes several steps after 3D printing. Initially, we carefully sand the object to eliminate any rough surfaces. Next, we apply a primer to prepare it for painting. The piece is then hand-painted with great attention to detail, and finally, we varnish it to ensure the paint remains vibrant and long-lasting.
📌Our products are lightweight due to the 3D printing process. The weight may be surprising when held, as it cannot be accurately judged by appearance alone. Generally, they weigh under 500 grams. Despite their lightness, our 3D printed items are more durable and resistant to impact. If you prefer a heavier product, we can add weight upon request, though this will incur an additional shipping fee. Please contact us for more details.
